Privacy Policy

At Kaptura, our users’ privacy is essential. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information within our event photo platform.

1

Data we collect

For Kaptura to work, we collect the minimum information necessary:

From the Organizer: Name, email address and billing data processed through secure payment platforms.

From Guests: Kaptura does not require mandatory registration (email/password) to upload photos, unless the Organizer sets it up that way. We collect minimal technical data (IP address, device type and browser) to ensure system stability and prevent abuse.

Content: The photographs uploaded by users to the event.

2

Use of information

We use the data solely to:

  • Provide the event’s digital gallery service.
  • Allow the Organizer and other Guests to view and download photos.
  • Improve the site’s security and the operation of our moderation AI.

Kaptura does not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

3

Storage and deletion

Short lifecycle: Photos are temporary. They are kept on our servers until the Wednesday following the event (or according to the agreed term). Once the term is met, the photos are permanently deleted from our active servers.

Security: We implement technical measures to prevent unauthorized access to galleries, although the user acknowledges that access via QR or a link shared by the Organizer is the latter’s responsibility.

4

Image rights and consent

By using Kaptura to upload a photograph, the user represents that they have the consent of the people portrayed. Kaptura acts solely as a technical intermediary (hosting) and is not responsible for the content of the images. If someone wants a photo in which they appear to be removed, they can request it from the Organizer or directly from Kaptura through our contact channels.

5

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep basic site functions working, such as remembering whether the user has already accepted or rejected optional cookies and maintaining the session when applicable.

We may also use optional analytics cookies to measure visits, page views and general interactions on the landing page. These cookies are only activated if the user gives their consent.

The user can accept or reject optional cookies from the initial banner and can change their choice again at any time from the Cookies link available in the site footer.

6

International data transfers

To provide the service, Kaptura may use third-party servers (such as AWS, Google Cloud or similar) that may be located outside Argentina. These providers comply with international security and privacy standards.
